Some flights have air marshals, but which ones do and which do not depend on the potential threat level of the flight.
There are so many flights every day that adding thousands more employees would be necessary to staff each plane. Simply put, it is not cost-effective.
Even though the number of unruly and disruptive passengers has increased, they still represent a very small portion of all daily flights.
These passengers are currently being detained, penalized, and forbidden from taking flights in the future. This is the most efficient way to use resources to solve this needless issue.
